These Terms of Service explain how Minster Tech Support provides services and what you can expect when booking or using our services.

By booking or using our services, you agree to these terms.

 
Services provided

Minster Tech Support provides in-home and workshop-based technical support services, including:

  • Computer and laptop support

  • Wi-Fi and home network troubleshooting

  • Device setup and upgrades

  • Diagnostics, repairs, and general tech assistance

 

Services are provided primarily to home users in York and nearby areas.

 
Bookings and visits
  • Bookings can be made online, by email, phone, or message

  • Appointment times are agreed in advance

  • If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible

 

We reserve the right to decline or reschedule bookings if circumstances require it.

 
Pricing
  • Prices shown are starting prices for common cases

  • Final costs will be explained before any additional work is carried out

  • There is no obligation to proceed with recommended work

 

If a problem cannot be fixed, no charge will be made for the service visit.

 
Payment
  • Payment is taken after the work is completed

  • Accepted payment methods include:

    • Debit and credit card (including American Express)

    • Contactless

    • Bank transfer

    • PayPal

 

Payment is due at the time of completion unless otherwise agreed.

 
Equipment handling
  • Reasonable care is taken when handling customer equipment

  • In some cases, equipment may be collected for off-site work and returned once complete

  • While every effort is made to protect your data, customers are responsible for ensuring important data is backed up

 

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or issues unrelated to the agreed work.

 
Limitations

Minster Tech Support cannot guarantee that all issues can be resolved, especially where:

  • Hardware is failing or unsupported

  • Software is obsolete or no longer maintained

  • Third-party services are involved

 

Advice is provided honestly and in good faith based on experience.

 
Liability

Liability is limited to the cost of the service provided, except where prohibited by law.

 

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

 
Changes to these terms

These Terms of Service may be updated occasionally. The latest version will always be available on this website.
